"Women's Political Empowerment and Regional Network"
KIWP host a thematic workshop at the 1999 Seoul International Conference of NGOs on October 13 1999. On the theme of Women's Political Empowerment & Regional Network, experts on Women in Politics (WIP) in academia, NGOs and political circles from seven countries shared their experiences and discussed future directions for women's political empowerment and regional network.
Before the workshop, Chair of KIWP, Dr. Jung-sook Kim (Chair, Special Committee on Women's Affairs, National Assembly) gave a welcoming speech to the all participants and the audience, and Hon. Yun-Sook Lee (Co-Chair, WATCHING EYES for Clean Politics) progressed the workshop as a moderator.
